5LSOTD: Cancer drug battle 10 Sept 08
A cancer sufferer with just a couple of months to live has won a high court battle to get access to a life-prolonging drug. The West Sussex Primary Care Trust would NOT pay for Colin Ross to get the drug Revlimid because NICE - the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence - hasn't reviewed it yet. But a judge has overturned that decision, describing his case as "exceptional".
